Fortune Favours

Once a thriving venue over two floors in the back of an alleyway, this place was always vibrant until the reality of Wellington's slowdown and the economy forced the closure. Sounds like Garage Project will continue the legacy with the building and some staff. Kudos!

CHRISTCHURCH

Lighthouse Brewery

When the lease was up, time was up for this little cool venue tucked away on Christchurch CBD. The buildings are now gone, but I believe the tanks have made their way to Renegade Brewing over the tracks in CHCH.

RIWAKA

Hop Federation

Starting out in a small shed on the side of the road to Kaiteriteri and Golden Bay, Hop Fed Beers were a treat to all those local and who travelled there in the summer! Eventually the numbers for the owners didn't stack up enough. Sad!

WHANGAMATA

Salt District

Another cool venture that faced the end when leasing and personal situations changed, leaving no options but to shut the door and move on!
